In a significant development, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has opted out of attending the Mumbai mega rally organized by the Opposition INDIA bloc. In a letter addressed to senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Yadav cited the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 schedule as the reason for his absence.

1. Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Schedule:Akhilesh Yadav highlighted that the Lok Sabha elections schedule for 2024 was recently announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI). Notably, the nomination process in Uttar Pradesh begins on March 20, leading to Yadav's decision to prioritize election preparations over attending the closing ceremony of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.

2. Appreciation for Rahul Gandhi's Yatra:Despite his absence, Akhilesh Yadav commended Rahul Gandhi for undertaking the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, describing it as a courageous effort to connect with people from various segments of society.

3. Message Against BJP Government:The SP chief acknowledged the symbolic message conveyed by starting the yatra from Manipur, emphasizing the challenges faced by regions affected by the BJP government's policies.

4. Confidence in Electorate:Expressing confidence in the electorate, Akhilesh Yadav predicted that farmers, youth, backward classes, Dalits, and women would vote against the ruling BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, signaling a potential shift in political dynamics.
